“Linus had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.”
Bring on the rocket cats!
Fanciful illustrations from a circa-1530 manual on artillery and siege warfare seem to show jet packs strapped to the backs of cats and doves, with the German-language text helpfully advising military commanders to use them to “set fire to a castle or city which you can’t get at otherwise.”
A wrecking ball indeed
This is Sir Stuffington. He and his brothers were rescued from the streets of Portland. Despite a gaffled jaw, missing right eye and a since-remedied case of fleas and mange, Sir Stuffington is going to be fine. And hopefully, the Internet’s best pirate cat can raise awareness (and money) about the plight of abandoned animals.
