In Los Angeles, Magic Johnson was set to throw out the first pitch when manager Don Mattingly came to the mound, yanked Magic and signaled for a lefty.
Correction: THE lefty. Sandy Koufax. Sure it’s theatrics. But its awesome. Also note that someone had the good sense to tell Magic not to wear his number 32. You don’t even try to compete with Koufax.
