Do you remember this picture? It’s National Geographic photographer Joe McNally’s shot straight down the Burj Khalifa (no relation to Wiz).
Here’s the video of the climb. Nuts. And spectacular.

Dubai and my fascination with the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building (not owned by Wiz), have been highlighted here before.
Film-maker Gerald Donovan shot one picture every 30 seconds for 28 hours. He says that “the light going down the Burj Khalifa at the start of the video [you can see the light line going down through the whole tower] is a reflection of the full moon setting. Later in the video, you can see the sun reflection doing the same thing as it sets.”

Yikes!
Joe McNally of National Geographic climbed to the top of the Burj Khalifa (no, Wiz doesn’t own it) in Dubai. It’s 2,690 feet up. About half a mile. He stepped out onto the edge. And he looked straight down.
Why? Because he’s an idiot a gutsy photographer.
